The ant

was rolling the water drop up the hill

and I, like Sisyphus,

was going down

not knowing whether I would find

the same rock again

with which I had conquered the top

The ant wasn’t thinking at all

whether the drop

is hard enough

to be a part of the nonsenseness

Borche Panov

Borche Panov (1961, Radovish, North Macedonia) is аwarded poet, writer, translator, an editor, a member of the Macedonian Writers’ Association. He works as a Counselor for Culture and Education at the Municipality of Radovish, and he is also an Art Coordinator for the “International Karamanov’s Poetry Festival”, held in Radovish annually (the first edition of the festival was in 1967). He has authored 13 poetry books in Macedonian, and 9 poetry books in English, Arabic, Italian, Polish, Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian and Bulgarian language. His works are translated into more than 40 languages.
