JOYFUL SYMPHONY

I hear the melody, a melody in the wind

the hymn of a crimson sky

blossoming beyond the ancient trees

dangling through the land with sepia rain

falling from the sky, falling from the eyes

and the whole land is singing

the rite of ancestral wisdom

a joyful symphony to live by

Novia Rika Perwitasari (Indonesia) lives in Tangerang Selatan, Indonesia. She is a banker, a poet and a translator. She is also the founder of Poetry Prairie, an Indonesian poetry digital platform for emerging writers. Her works appear in many publications in Indonesia, and she also won several national poetry competitions. Her poems have been published on international platforms such as Dying Dahlia Review, The Optimum Zine, The Poetry Kit, Haiku Masters by NHK TV Japan and Anthology of World Gogyoshi.
